Which hurts more, expanders, seperators or braces???????

I think seperators do because I've had an expander and it didn't hurt at all. My sister has seperators and she says they hurt real bad.

They say separaters hurt more since they actually separate your teeth before the expanders and then the braces. However, I'm getting myself Invisalign if anything so I probably won't have to mess with all of that equipment.
