Here are some tips for you if you are shy about your period. Just remember though that all girls get there periods, so there's nothing to be embarrassed about.
For public restrooms: Turn on the hand dryer and fan (if they are there) before going into a stall. Flush the commode several times while unwrapping the wrappers. Maybe wait until someone in another stall flushes the commode, then unwrap the wrappers. Pretend to sneeze or cough while unwrapping the wrappers. Use the stall that's the farthest from the door, the sinks and the mirrors. That way no one should be able to hear or see you. Try to use the handicapped stall if available. This stall usually gives you plenty of room to change a pad or a tampon.
At school: Same as above and use the restroom during class time (if permitted) when no one else is in the restroom. Also you could use the restroom stall in the nurse's office. For P.E. Ask the teacher if you can change in a different room. If you can't, then change in a restroom stall. The locker room is usually always noisy. Perhaps, you can change in a restroom before getting to P.E.
At home: You can turn on the water or the shower. Turn on the fan too, if there's one in the bathroom. Also turn the radio or CD volume up loud and flush the commode several times.
Another tip is to unwrap the wrappers very slowly or have them unwrapped before getting to the restroom or the bathroom. There's also new wrappers now that claim to be quiet, that you can use.
Again, remember all girls get there periods. So there's nothing to be embarrassed about, if other people hear you, while you're changing your pad or your tampon.

| Awwww. COME ON! This is crazy. When I have my period, no one even cares whether or not, because I don't have to use the bathroom during class. I am sure you'll have way crazier tips for a portable bathroom on a construction site. If I were the f'ing Chemical Engineer I'd use the damned bathroom before 6am shift. | |

, but I thought paranoia and menstruation didn't go together. Giving those tips might run the elctricity bill. Mainly, I'm not bothered by the post, but I'm worried about how others feel. Is that understandable. Basically, I feel that this may be useless ever since this is a part of life until you are a senior citizen. We all are embarassed sometimes. I'd hate to bend the truth, but if we get used to it early, the better off we'll be. | |

| Lolzzzzz I'm ok with these kind of stuff. I mean, even if we go to the public toilet, we're going in as girls, into a girl toilet right? Everyone gets it. | |
