autophobia - fear of being alone (among other things. there are 3 different types).

Seriously, though, doesn't anyone here know what Google is? It would have taken you about 2 minutes to find that out yourself.

As far as what you have really being a phobia goes... that would depend on how much the fear affects you physically. When you say "freak out", as opposed to "get scared", i assume you mean your heartrate goes up, you might feel light headed and flighty (ie - needing to physically run) or paralysed. Phobia's mean you are physically affected by an irrational fear.

Google it. Then talk to someone.

my daughter is like this, she has to be with me all the time, she hates social situations, i have to push her out the door and force her to be social. She won't go to her friends house, she would rather be w/ me even if we are getting on each others nerves.

Every body is scared now and then, however a phobia is different. I am NOT a docter but if it is indeed a phobia these are some of the symptomes:
-fainting/ vomiting
-panic attack: (at least 4 of the following)
- difficulty breathing
-chest pains
-racing heart (tachacardia)
-trouble swallowing
-throut tightens
-dissyness
-nausia
-profuse sweating
-shakes, trembling
-you feel as if you are dying
-derealization- "losing your mind"
*this occures with increasing frequency
I AN NOT A DOCTOR IF THIS IS YOU, SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE!

I think I have a phobia too. I'm am so freaked out by ham I can't stand it whenever I see it i want to throw up and if it's even near me I start screaming and running. Is there such a thing as a phobia of being scared of ham?
Rich 12-08-07 6:37 PM
is it just ham, or is it other meats or pork products too?
Sarah profile 01-21-08 6:14 PM
That's how I used to be, but I think I grew out of it. i still get like it sometimes though but rarely.

I strongly agree with Chris's reply. However, this can be a lot more serious than you think.
