hey. I'm really scared right now because I have to give a speech in front of my whole school next week. I have severe anxiety problems but i still want to do it. Are there any tips to relax before making a speech? This is all i've been thinking about this week. I really need from u ppl. If u have any advice at all, please reply.  | |

i know how you feel, if i have to give a speech i burst into tears. So, find a spot on the back wall and stare at it as you give your speech. it s a little bit, then explain to your teacher that you couldn't look at people because of your anxiety. somtimes teachers take off points for no eye contact. | |

girl i had to sing in front of my ENTIRE skool i thought i was gonna dieeee ......i was not scared about it untill that day like as soon as i woke up that moring i told myself WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!! well i was soo scared but twords the midlle of my song i calmed down and did really good....just take a few deep breaths and have confidence in yourself ...in the beginng of your speech you will probably shake a little and feel a uncomfortable.....but taht will pass as you go on....good luck! ooo and praying always s jus pray b4 you say your speech another thing that s me is motivational quotes you can look them up on the internet!! good luck!! | |

One time, I made a speech for SCA Vice President in front of the whole school one time. I was really nervous but when I got into the speech, I started relaxing when I was thinking I'd win the election and I did! Maybe you can talk to your parents about it and see what they think. Taking a few deep breaths might or getting your mind onto another subject. Who knows, you might do better than you think! | |
