Really Scared

I am getting braces tomorrow at nine, and I am terrified. Some people say it hurts worse than anything, and others say it's not that bad. I need the expander. I have an underbite, and I might need to get some teeth pulled. Plus, I have eye teeth. I need to know if it will hurt while they're putting the braces on because I'll probably push them away. Help! I am so terrified. I am in so much pain, and tomorrow's my grandfather's birthday. Guess I won't be eating cake. There is so much food you can't eat with braces that it seems like you're on a darn diet. My mom had the same exact teeth as me, and her teeth are beautiful right now, but I really don't want to go through the process. All I can say is that I wish I had beautiful teeth without even getting braces. Help! Help me get through thus horrible process because I am so scared. Please help!

Guess what Rachel? I have the same exact problem! I have an underbite, inherrited from my mom, and my top jaw is too small. So at the moment I have an expander to fix that problem. Then in a few weeks I'm getting braces for a couple years. Then when I'm 18 I have to have an operation to sort out my underbite . Then after that I have to have more braces. ugh. So don't worry cos I'm terrified about the whole thing too and I just wish I could have straight & perfect teeth.. But i'm 15 so it's even worse.. and most the people in my grade at school have straight teeth or they are about to get their bracess off soon. But I'm only about to get mine on!! It really sucks..

awww, dont be scared. when they put them on it doesnt hurt at all. just relax :]
