Almost Positive But Negative Tests
I think I'm pregnant. If I'm not, then I have no idea what's going on with my body. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for almost a year. Now I don't get my period like normal girls because of a medical condition PCOS, which is cysts on my ovaries. But every once in a while it comes. I got it in late November. I don't get bad cramping, heavy breasts, or any food cravings with it when I get it.

Now for the past three weeks I've had bad cramping, VERY sensitive breasts that seem. ..fuller? And almost painfully uncomfortable and crazy food cravings. I've gained 5-10 pounds just in the past few weeks (I am a very small girl, and weight shows on me). So I ran myself over to the pharmacy and picked up one of those three packs of the EPT test.

When I first noticed these symptoms I took a test three weeks ago. Negative. Then a week after that. Negative. And it's still continuing. Tested again. Negative. I made an appointment at Planned Parenthood, but I am not going for a few days. I was hoping for opinions here as to what is going on. Can I be pregnant and test negative, or is there some crazy wacked out hormone induced symptoms?

I'm not really worried or freaking out. Just wondering what could be up with this.

Dont Freak Out.. If You Freak Out Thinkn That You ARE Pregnant You Can Actually Make Your Body Believe So, Which Ends Up Making You Feel Like You Have The Symptoms..

But Since You Have PCOS.. Its Probably Just That...

Doubt You Are Pregnant Though

Susan, since you had PCOS, that is an increase or decrease or overprodcutive hormones produced by the ovaries. I had the condition myself and it does affect pregnancy. There is one type of PCOS called Stein Leventhal Syndrome which is what I had and causes weight gain and/or weight loss. Before you get the condition under control, you will experience some effects. I really don't think you are pregnant. I think it is the PCOS itself causing the effects. Also, your prolactin level may rise causing you to have symptoms similar to a pregnant woman but you are not pregnant by further detection. Mostly, what you are experiencing as of this moment is several known effects to the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Once you get that under control, you will lose the weight like nothing and your hormones will lower to where it isn't such a quandary for you to know whether or not you are pregnant.

OH MY GOSH MAKE HIM WEAR A CONDOM!!!! Are you serious????? That is like the number one most basic rule ever of having safe sex, as they will tell you at Planned Parenthood, and if he bitches about it then he's obviously dating you for the wrong reasons. At the very least get a presecription to birth control. You don't want to end up like Jamie Lynne Spears!!!!!!!!!!
