Help: UTI?
Hey, I have a question. I think I have a UTI, and I have had it for a LONG time. I was wondering if left untreated, could it do something to my period? It has been odd. Last month it was dark brown and not a "flow". Then the next day it was way heavier than it has ever been. The last time it was a brown type of "flow" for four days starting on a Monday, and then on Friday I got a really heavy flow that lasted to Tuesday. Does that mean my UTI is getting worse? I don't know if I have an infection or if I am making myself believe I have an infection. Thanks.

If you don't get it checked out and if you let the problem persist it can eventally lead to being not fertal.

Amanda, a Urinary Tract Infection only affects urinary symptoms and things that have to do with your urinary system. A UTI usually won't affect your period but it has been a myth that a UTI was an STI/STD to where it could but simply a UTI will only affect urinary symptoms instead of the reproductive organs. If you suspect a UTI, consult a physician or licnesed medical professional so they can see precisely what the problem is...-Emily
