Help! I'm so Nervous!

I'm getting my spacers tommorow (Dec. 5th) and I'm really nervous! And next week I get my actual braces on! I'm really excited, because like everyone I know has braces, but I'm also REALLY scared. I have to get teeth pulled and I'm afriad that will hurt a lot! Does that hurt? Do spacers hurt a ton because my friend said they do... actually 4 friends said that. Is it true? And what color should I get? I was thinking hot pink and green. So, if anyone has helpful words of advice, it would be greatly apreciated. Thank you all!

I know it can be a bit apprehensive but just talk to your orthodontist about what is worrying you so you can get honest answers. Sorry, I'm a bit late to replying. -Emily

I have braces and have had them for a couple of weeks now. It is not that painful, I mean it hurt a little bit when I got them but other then that its not painful

You are welcome. Braces only hurt when they get tightened. Its not as painful as people make it out to be

Getting your teeth pulled doesnt hurt as long as the dentist doesnt let the novocaine wear off like mine did . Get a color that won't make your teeth look yellow or green. Try something simple like blue or silver first. Spacers do not hurt after the first few hours atleast for me. Take aspirin if you need to. Braces are you will enjoy them!
