Can't Sleep
I'm 13, and I have trouble sleeping. It takes me until at least 12:00 midnight to 1:00 AM to sleep. I get bored and have to go to the bathroom every hour or so. It is so annoying. It is hard for me to wake up and go to school. When I get to school, I can barely stay awake. I tried going to bed earlier, but that didn't help at all. Please help me. I need to get to sleep. I try closing my eyes, but that doesn't help. I don't take sleeping pills because I shouldn't. I need an answer. Please help me anyone who can tell me what to do with my sleeping problems.

you will grow out of it dont worry. but just watch what you eat before bed...sugars, junk food, pop, or even what you do before bed....make it non active, so just watching a tv show (not like a horror movie which would have the adrenalin pumping) or read a book, yoga, meditate. dont set yourself up with something exciting...or your mind will do overtime and your sleep will suffer

5 simple things that can help you get a better nights sleep; sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Make sure its dark wherever you sleep and when you go to the bathroom its better if you use night lights instead of turning on a regular light, it does wake up your biological clock. Try getting a sound machine that plays a white noise so it blocks out everything. Try getting a new pillow, one that is perfect for you. Lavender has been proven to help people sleep. Try a light snack before you go to bed and make sure it wont make you stay up for hours(bananas, almonds and apricots for example). If you take naps during the day try skipping them for a day and see what happens.

Hey.

I have a suggestion. I know it sounds odd, but sometimes when I have trouble sleeping I act like a baby to help myself sleep. I just put on a goodnites diaper and drink some warm milk. I usually fall asleep instantly. I also have to use the bathroom every hour or so, so the diaper obviously helps. In the morning just throw it away and start again fresh at night!
