Lower Back Pain, Not So Fun
When I was little, I loved to rollerblade because it was the cool, 90's thing to do, right? Anyway, I was rollerblading down my driveway, which was a bit steep, and I was going faster than I needed to be going. I ended up hitting a pebble and going down. Somehow I managed to land hard on my butt, injuring my coccyx (tail bone). For a long time, I had to have cushions when I sat and it hurt to stand for long periods of time.

After a while, I healed and I was able to do fun stuff again, but the back pain still exists. Standing on hard or uneven surfaces brings the pain back in a heartbeat. A couple of years ago, I had a cyst on my lower back that my doctor thought might have been related to my little accident (my initial injury was in the third grade; I had the cyst in eighth). Sleeping the wrong way will make my back hurt for as long as a week.

I will probably have lower back pain the rest of my life. In fact, it will probably get worse as I get older, but I'll find ways of dealing with it. I'll keep up hope that eventually something will help fix my problem.
