My Solution For Killer Cramps - Birth Control

My cramps were unbearable to begin with, just like most every other girl in the world. I passed out in the hallway in high school because I was in so much pain. I always missed the first day of my period and because it was clockwork, the teachers could tell something was wrong because I missed the same days each month. I was in unbearable pain, and I couldn't function.

Before I started college, I was put on the pill (Yazmin, to be exact). It is a low-dosage birth control, and I will kid you not, it was honestly night and day for me. With these meds, I was able to function on the first day (when my cramps were worst), and they are to the point now where I don't even get cramps, and my periods are exact clockwork now - every third Wednesday and done by Friday. It's wonderful to plan around!

If you can barely function like me, I highly suggest a low dosage birth control! It may take a little convincing on your mom or dad's part, but give it your all if you want to worry less about your cramps!

I'm glad to see you've seen results. I myself go through daily stomach pains and really don't like it. I surly hope you're pain free by now. However, I never knew birth control could relieve cramps. Interesting...

I am in the exact same position as you. I had the worst cramps ever for the longest time. and once i went on birth control, not only was my period a lot less in days ( went from 8 days, to 3) but the cramps were gone. now every once in a while. i get a little crampage, but its nothing in comparison and i still have my anaprox that I can take on those days. ( its like advil but works for 12 hours, and much stronger.)

I would really like to try that, but my mom has always been pretty negligent about prescriptions. I'm going to have to check it out on my own sometime.
