HELP ME!
I'm 5'2", and I'm 19. I weight in at 145. I'm not really fat but only in one area - my stomach. It's huge. I seriously look like I'm pregnant. It's embarrassing. I'm so little, but I have such a huge stomach. How do I get this big stomach to go away?

Let me tell you what I eat:

Steak/red meats
fruit
fast foods
smoothies
Cokes all the time, hardly any water

I'm constantly eating. I probably eat like six big meals a day. I just don't know how much I should eat and what's good for me and what's not. I used to weigh in at 115; I want to lose 20 pounds. Does anyone know how I can do that and how long it would take?

Here's a couple keys:
*Don't drink soda or other sugary / high calorie drinks.
*COUNT YOUR CALORIES. Say you find out that you're eating 2500 calories a day right now, and at that amount you aren't gaining or losing weight, just maintaining what you already have. Cut that down to 2000 calories daily, make sure they're coming from healthy foods, and EXERCISE 3-5 days a week (3 if it's intense, 5 if it's not so intense).
*You do need to exercise, by the way. It is a necessity.

If you have any questions you can message me... you can do that on this website right? I don't even know... whatever

I'll give you my deepest sympathy, because I used to be two hundred forty-two pounds, and now I am very skinny. Here's a hint: Cut down on the sugar with the Coke and reduce it to Diet Coke. I drink Propel water. It is a Gatorade in Water version, but don't drink too much because it'll put water weight on you. For the Fast Food, eat it if you dare because a Big Mac has more Calories than a Double Quarter Pounder and the fat is three times worse than a Double Cheeseburger. There are some of these over the counter diet pills that can lessen your hunger. The smoothies are OK. Don't drink 10 a day, because one smoothie has 50 calories (which is good), but has more sugar than you imagine.
Second of all, exercise for 30-60 minutes 3-5 times a week. Since your stomach has more fat than the rest of your body, then I'd recommend sit-ups or crunches. You have to stick to it or you won't see results. For the buttocks and thighs, I'd do squats and leg movements. For arms, I'd do push-ups. Push-ups might take awhile because if you can lift 50 lbs, then practice, because if you don't. Then you can't drop and do twenty-five; fifty what so ever.

Good Luck

I was very big one time too. During the time of hormonal problems, I am not depressed about it. Pretty much, that was my issue lost 30 lbs. in one day, on all you can eat diet. THINNER! Just kidding. And, uhhh. I have lost 60 lbs. On my watch, I am going 20-40 more, and my Mama thinks I am skinny. Besides, I'm muscular anyway. I do grip training, and some strength and endurance too. Pretty sad isn't it. I feel bad for you anyway. Everything's Protein and Vitamin C.

Toss the fast foods... Full of sodium and perservatives, and the smoothies might have high fructose corn syrup in them too, so eat some broccoli

A diet revamp could be all you need.

- Ditch the fast food. Having a treat everyonce in a while, but at the very most, you should be eating it once a week. I, personally, have a thing for arby's curly fries, so i treat myself to them about once a month.
- Drop the coke. I am not saying its never okay to have pop. Just keep in mind that it has a lot of empty calories. I used to drink a lot of pop, but I have recently switched to flavored water. try and find a low calorie or nutrient filled drink to replace coke.
- Opt for fish and chicken in place of beef. There are plenty of healthy meat options such as elk, moose, deer, chicken, or poltry that satisfy your protein needs as well as taste great.

I know exactly how you feel. Im a little taller than you and used to weigh the same. I now weigh 128, but still have all the weight on my tummy. I tried toning but cause i still have this layer of fat i still have a huge belly.

my advice is to stay away from the fast foods, it should not be a part of ur daily diet, just a treat when u really need it! Also, try not too worry too much, that will make u gain faster, it's mental...good luck!
