Hmmm
I'm new to this site, so I don't know if anyone wants to hear this or not. Here we go.

I am 14, and I have had my period since I was 12. I never used to get horrible cramps or PMS. They just started about two weeks ago. I freak out at my mom for no reason at all, but I guess everyone does that. She doesn't want me to use tampons, so she refuses to buy them for me. I'm very active, and I like tampons better than pads, so I have to use hers. They are like super absorbant. It's kind of awkward to use.

I've read some comments on the whole what-do-you-do-if-you-have-bad-cramps kind of thing, and all they say is to take a painkiller or something and go to sleep, and it should help. First off, my mom doesn't buy any of those kinds of things, because she doesn't want me to become immune to them. I basically die when I go through my time of the month. And secondly, people say to sleep, but my cramps are so bad that they wake me up at night.

It's horrible. I always puke when I get them, so my friends worry about me. But from what I read, that's normal. Right? Anyway, I don't want to be a nuissance, so if you have any advice, please tell me. But if not, that's fine too. :)

First off, you are not a nuissance. I think you are probably experiencing PMS. I go through the same thing every month, except I don't puke, I go thorough allot of pain, and feel like I want to die. I have recetly been seeing an alternative doctor who recommended bioidentical hormones. They seem to help some. It's an ongoing battle for me though, still not totally resolved yet. But it might be easier for you to fix. I would recommend you see an endocrinologist. They specialize in hormones. But before you make an appointment make sure they specialize in hormone treatment, not all endocrinologists do. Also make sure they are familiar with bioidentical hormones, they are an all natural hormones, probably the safest hormones out there. Don't let them trick you into taking birth control, it made my cramps worse over time. I hope I have been of some help, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

go to your doctor, it sounds like you might have Endometriosis, a medical condition were the tissue from your uteris that thickens and prepares for pregnancy, called endometrium, is found in a place outside the uteris, usually around the fallopian tubes, or ovaries. http://en.wik  ipedia.  org/wik  i/endometirosis might be a little more helpful than I am.

Talk to your mom about it too, and let her know how you feel, and how much it hurts, etc. ask for her support, show her that website and some of the symptoms listed, I'm sure she'd rather help you than see you in this pain. and if your very active, you should be getting checked out by a gynecologist at least once a year anyway.

Hope this helps, good luck!
