Good Routines!!!
I am 13, 5'4 1/2", and I weigh 101 pounds. It's not a lot I know, but I am developing a belly, and I want to make more of an effort to cut it down. My mom and all of my relatives are pretty slim and were super slim growing up. My mom is always telling me how hard it is to lose belly fat when you are older, and I want to start good habits now!

I have a sweet tooth, but I am not addicted, so I can stop. I used to have ice cream every night, but now I have ice cream probably once a week or less. My problem is that I have a lot of snacks during the day like bread and cheese, and I am afraid that the snacks are not going anywhere; just sitting carbs. I have tried subsituiting fruit for these snacks, but then I am just tempted to eat more.

I take two dance classes a week, and P.E. is pretty intense, but I want to get stronger and in better shape. I need ideas to form better eating habits and a better exercising routine. I know I am too young to worry about a diet, but when I eat healthy, I have more energy, and I feel better about myself.

I have a busy life, so I don't think I am going to have a lot of time to dedicate a lot of time to exercise.

I eat salad, fruit, and a sandwhich every day for lunch, so I am eating healthy, but I don't think I am getting enough exercise. Any advice? Thanks!

Make sure you eat food that isn't processed. Stay away from ice cream, refined flours, etc... Instead eat food that is whole wheat, organic, and eat grass fed animals.

you shouldn't even be thinking of that at your age and weight.

Wow I have the same problem... Im 5'5'' 102 lbs... i used to be 98 when i ran more but ive gained a few lbs. but even when i was running, my stomach wasnt wicked small. ive been wearing looser fitting shirts latley because i have a little fat in my stomach, and then i look unproportional because my legs are wicked skinny... like veryy (a size 24 for designer jeans are slightly loose, aka a size 00 at A&F is loose on my thighs)...i really want to loose it so i can wear shirts that i want to. my friend horseback rides and she has like no fat on her stomach. i heard pilates 2x a week can make you loose an inch of your stomach in 1 month so i might do that. Running (4 or 5 miles a day) keeps me in shape but doesnt do much for my stomach. im trying to diet by eating less carbs (i dont eat junk food anyway because i dont like it, except for ice cream) but its hard because im a vegetarian... so what am i supposed to eat? veggies all day? i donno i think we should just to sit ups/ pilates but its important to work your whole core. i saw some swivel chair you sit on (at brookstone) that works your abs.. that looks interesting. My other friend also lost a lot of weight ( i think mostly in her stomach) from wrestling and she eats wayy less... drinking water fills you up too which i do a lot. well, i hope this helps!

cut down some of your meal sizes and try to eat less snacks. but make sure you stay well nourished if you are going to dance classes!

If you're getting a belly, do crunches...crunches crunches crunches...theres alot of ab strengething routines you can do at home. You're a stick and if you lose any more weight I don't think it'd look right (no offense, my friends are your height and 20 lbs more and look perfectly fine) and I'm getting so tired of all my girlfriends worrying over what to eat and their weight....I'm sure you're beautiful so stop worrying and dare yourself to LIVE.
