Can't Sleep? Try Melatonin
I'm an insomniac and have the hardest times getting to sleep and staying asleep, but I'm never tired. I could get about three hours of sleep or less and feel completely awake for a couple of days.
I knew it wasn't healthy for me to go so long with no sleep and then only get a few hours of rest. I went to Walgreen's to see if they had any kind of sleeping medicine. I found an all-natural medicine called Melatonin, which is a natural chemical your body releases to make you sleepy. I tried it out and slept for about seven hours my first night, and it's been like that every time I use it. I couldn't remember the last time I slept that long.
All you have to do is take it about 20-30 minutes before you want to go to bed, and when that time is up if you lay down, you should pretty much just drift off into sleep. It's so easy to use, and it's all-natural, so it's not bad for you. However, I have heard that it can be addicting and to take only when needed, and take the right amount. The only cases I've heard of people getting addicted to it though is when they take too much of it every night. You should only have to take one of the pills every night, if that. For me, I only use it on school nights, when I know that sleep counts.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with the people that are having sleeping problems too. Hope it helps some of you!
