Almost There But Not Enough.... HELP!?
I really don't know where to put this, but I figured y'all could help me. Summer is rapidly approaching, and I really want to wear a bikini this year! It will be my first time since I was really, really young. I have a bit of a setback though.

I'm about 5'6" and 160 pounds. I'm not all upset over my weight (I used to be A LOT heavier), but my stomach is weird. It kind of creases or folds in a little at my belly button. Very few people have a stomach like mine (that I know of).

My main problem with wearing a bikini this year is the top part of my stomach is puggy, so it's not flat. It's almost there but not enough. I was just wondering if anyone knew any diet tricks or workout tips to help me lose that pudge on the top part of my stomach. Any help would be great! Thanks so much!

oh yes, if you take a serving of cod liver oil(comes in tablets) your body absorbs that fat, which is actually REALLY good for you, it wont absorb as much fat from chips and sweets and sodas...

running or swimming is the best way to tone the body... annoying as the first one might be, it really slims your stomach down quite fast

cold water burns calories because it cools ur body down so to warm up again it uses calories aka energy

COLD WATER burns lots of calories!!!! ok there are these sit ups.. that arent actually sit ups.. they are actually much more effective.. lay on your back with your feet(knees bent) placed on the ground. put your finger tips on the back of your head(both hands) and lift up your left leg and your head so that the left leg touches the right elbow. and also right leg to your left elbow. meet half way with leg and elbow. try reps of ten and see how many you can do. DONT HURT YOURSELF TOO BAD!!! if you totally dont understand what im explaining.. then i am SOO sorry, hehe. im no good with explinations. but hopefully you do. GOOD LUCK!!!! oh yea try to hang out with your " funny" friend of the group or whoever you may find amusing because ive learned laughing hard sure does give ur abs a workout!!! lmao.. hehe im such a DoRk!!

Oh, and only eat whole grains...make sure it says "whole grain," not "whole wheat."

Change up the routine every few weeks. One of the biggest mistakes people make is doing the same thing all the time. Some people also suggest switching cardio machines every 20 minutes (if you can afford to go to a gym). Also, weight train--I can't stress that enough. Ummm...don't eat snacks at night unless you're starving, and stick to low-cal ones. You should also up your vegetable intake, and eat lots of protein. I drink a lot of herbal teas with splenda as well...it seems to curb my NEED for food. I've lost about 5 vanity pounds doing these things over the past few weeks. It's all pretty much common sense...that's the smartest way to do it. Good luck, and feel free to e-mail me! meath017@umn.edu
