October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is quickly approaching, and that means that Breast Cancer Awareness Month is almost here. The purpose is to create awareness on how horrible this disease it and to make it aware that women should check themselves. Women can do this in the shower, and they can go to a clinic or doctor's office to pick up a pamphlet on what to do and how to do it. You can hang the pamphlet on the shower head. Another way to show support and awareness is to sport a pink ribbon. Pink is the color for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I own a pink rubber bracelet, like the Live Strong bracelet, and it has pink ribbons on it. It shows support for those women who have battled breast cancer, are currently battling it, or have passed on from it. What do you think of National Breast Cancer Awareness month? Please reply. Thanks!

I think all women should help with their part in raising awarness about breast cancer. We shouldnt wait till someone we know gets diagnosed to be educated about it. My heart goes out to all of you that have had to deal with this disease one way or another

I think breast cancer awarness week is a great idea, it reminds women how important it is to check themselves. I have a pink riddon airfreshner for my car and i also wear the rubber band on my wrist. I also think its good that alot more companies are getting envolved and selling things where some of the profit goes to breast cancer charities.

My half sister grandma died last year from breast cancer and There is a girl at my work that just found out that she has breast cancer. She goes in tomorrow to get ready for the 5 hour surgry on the 18 of this month. It is really scary cause most of us think that is one then we wont get and then when we get older we get it.It is really scary.I am really scared but seeing what is going on with my friend at work it is sad but she is open to talk about it and all.

Yeah! I was watching the news yesterday and they were saying that they are selling shirts that can help you check yourself and a pen to draw on the shirt were you felt a bump and to check again to see if you still have it their from last week. I think it is pretty neat and now you can be more self help with that. I also have a pink ribbon on my car because I know alot of women who have had cancer and I am here for them.

I have a ribbon magnet on my car. My dads best friend died of breast cancer back in June. It was so unexpected, she has it all removed, and they thought she was cancer free. Then, she just... died... :-(

But I know another woman that has survived!

Stay strong!
