What Exactly Is My Problem?

Hey. I have been going through a series of painful throat aches just like pretty much everyone here. I'm stuck on deciding whether I should get my tonsils removed. I ALWAYS have a throat ache, whether it's an infection or not. My throat constantly bothers me!

Now, along with my tonsils and throat aching comes problems with my ears. My ears hurt all the time as well. I'm prone to ear infections as well to strep throat. My question is, because I have constant infections in my tonsils, can that also be the cause of my ear infections?

When I wake up and brush my teeth, I also tend to cough up mucus. I'm not a smoker and was wondering if anyone out there had any similar problems. Along with that I get a case of bad breath. Honestly, I don't know what it is that I'm experiencing, but if anyone knows anything or can give me advice, I'd really appreciate it!

It very well may be your Tonsils, check around for ENTs. I'm sure one of them can identify the problem.

it sounds like you're going thru the same stuff i went thru up until i had my tonsils out about 2 years ago. i was a bit scared of having them out at first,BUT it was well worth it,ever since ive had them out ive rarely had any earaches,or sore throats. your tonsils being infected can cause all of the things you mentioned,when the doctor took my tonsils out he had taken pictures of them for me for when i woke up and all you could see was infection on them and they were completely swollen up.When i had mine taken out i was only in the hospital maybe 6hours if that,here they left it up to me weather i wanted to stay overnight or go home,depending on how "bad" i felt and what not,but i mean i lived on popsicles and jello and applesauce for the first few days afterwards,then just "soft foods" a couple days after that,but then when i went back like a week later for a check up everything healed up fine. Dont worry they give ya pain medicine that pretty much knocks ya out once ya take it so i was fine if you have anymore questions or concerns you can email me at pumpkin1787@yahoo.com or else on here...
