Should I?
Here's the deal. When I was born I had a terrible skin disease where my skin was covered with blisters, and my skin would always burn. I'm cleared up now, and the only things left are the scars left from the blisters that are all over my body, except my face and down there (thank God). In fourteen years of living I've gone through tons of treatment and tests, and I think we know what it was and that only six other people in the world have it.
Anyway, I've never had a problem with people about it until I got to high school where everyone got real freaked out, so I told everyone the story, and some people still critize me for it. My mom said that it would be possible to get rid of the scars through surgeries or creams. I thought I would want to do it, but then I talked to one of my friends, and he said that it's not worth it.
But I really just want to be normal even though I'm just an ordinary kid underneath. I need you guys' opinions. Should I get surgery or not? Give reasons for your decision. Thank you all very much!
