Ear Surgery

All surgery is something that should really be taken seriously because once you have it, you can't go back, and it can be expensive.

I never knew that you could have ear surgery, but since I was in year two, I have felt self-conscious about my big ears. It can really lower your self esteem because most people don't have very big ears. What can really hurt about it is the fact that it isn't your fault. It could be bad genes or it just happens; you're born with them, and it's not like they can just go away.

Having physical features that are not of the norm can leave a lot of emotional scarring. It can impact the way you think and feel, even the way most people define you as a person. It can keep you from doing sports and activities you love just cos you can't handle what others will think.

I think surgery is all right if it impacts the way you feel and gives you a low self-esteem. It isn't like if you were a slightly chubby person (NO OFFENSE to anyone, I think curves are bootiful), and you could eventually lose the weight. The only way you can change it is too recieve help.

Some common ear surgeries are remolding for big ears, pinback, remolding ear lobes, fixing bat ears, etc. I don't think people who don't have problemish ears should judge because people, you haven't been there. And anyone who has ever teased anyone with big ears, please don't because they have feelings too and are probably more sensitive than yours.

People who kind of have abnormal ears and are happy with it, good on you, but you have to understand that other people can't deal with the pressure. I know I find it hard accepting myself. I love my friends, my family, and my life. I try to focus on that and every with the same types of problems as I should too, but if you can't talk to your parents and get some help.

No one should have to live with a horrible burden like that. Anyone who has friends with these problems, please support them because it can make you feel very bad about yourself. Beauty should always be more on a focus on the inside, but sometimes it just can't be.

i was so amazed to see somebody wrote about this. i just had ear surgery three months ago to have them folded back because i was incredibly self-concious about them. it was entirely worth it. i had almost no confidence in my outward appearance before surgery, and i can honestly say that since then ive gotten my first boyfriend, my first kiss.... it's just amazing how much self-confidence ive gained. however, i had a week of sheer pain and terror (not to mention a big loss of money) to get to where i am today. if u truly feel that you deserve better than what you have, i would definitely recommend ear surgery.

I kinda feel that way too....I mean, I dont have big ears but I guess Im not pretty in the face, Im skinny and tall so I dont really worry about my weight...but I always get made of just cause of my facial features and it sux, then I just think about how really gay theyre gonna feel when they get old and ugly haha!!!
