*A New Kind Of Contact Lense*
I saw this commercial on TV for these new contact lenses that you can keep in for 30 days at a time. They are made that way and they said that they are made of some new thing so that its safe. I'm just wondering if any of any of you people out there have tried it because I really want them. The problem is my mom. She seems to think that because of her eyes being sensitive and not being able to use contacts (plus the fact that the last time she wore contacts was like 15 years ago) she doesn't belIeve any of it. She won't even listen to me when I bring the subject up. So if anyone's tried it, please tell me what you think of them. Thanks!

I dunno how the new ones work, but if you left the old kind in for too long, your cornea would dry out and blood vessels would start growing over your contact. I think the new ones have micro-holes so tears can get thru to your cornea.

Hey. I've never tried those 30 day contacts, and I never would. keeping a foriegn object in your eye for 30 days isn't very safe. They say they use special materials to make it safe, but there is still a very big risk of something going wrong. I wouldn't reccomend getting them.

I've never tried those 30-day contacts, but I do have an idea to convince your mom to hear you out--you can look up information about the contacts online, print it out, and show it to her. (that's what I did to convince my dad to let me get contacts) Make sure it includes stuff about the safety of it, and if it can be worn with sensitive eyes. And if that gets her to listen, you should still get an appointment to get your eyes checked, so the optometrist can tell you if it's okay for you to wear them.

wow that would be weird having contacts in for that long. wouldn't they get like stuck on your eye. I mean if you keep your contacts on for a day or so they get stuck. So would you have to sleep in them? i would think that would be painfull. But it might be kinda cool but wow 30 days.
