Overlapping Little Toes
When I was about 13 or 14 my little toes on each foot started to rise or lift whenever I walked or moved my foot a certain way. Now I'm 16 and they both overlap the toes next to them permanently. They do not cross over very far, yet they do not touch the ground anymore (which means I leave four-toed footprints). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has overlapping toes like mine or developed them in a similar experience. I'm not at all embarrassed about them - I have no problems walking around barefoot. Thanks for your replies.

Hey Matt,
I thought I was the only one with such weird toes! I think my little toes started to ride up the same way when I was like 12 or 13. One day I just happened to move my left foot a certain way and my little toe popped up. Eventually my right little toe started to do it too. By the time I was 16 neither of my little toes touched the ground anymore either. My toes still will ride up higher when I shift my weight or move a certain way but they both overlap the next toes all the time. I'm 19 now and my left little toe especially seems to overlap permenantly more each year. Doesn't bother me, really though. The only major thing is my friends sometimes tease me about my four toed footprints but big deal! I live in a warm climate so I'm barefoot or in sandals almost all the time. Well, it's cool to know someone else had thier toes do this too!

Hi Matt,
The fourth toe on my left foot stopped growing when I was younger and now it's only about as long as my pinky toe. I'm 17 now and recently my short toe has started to ride up when I move my foot certain ways--just like you were describing. I noticed it because I bought some new flip flops at the beginning of the summer and now after 2 months of wearing them I notice that there's no toe print for my fourth toe! Don't know what causes it but like you I don't let it bother me. Take care dude!
