I Love My Glasses!

In the past I wore contacts, but when I go to parties and people smoke there and it's dark, the contacts hurt. That's why I wanted to have glasses. I had glasses some time ago, but I hated them. I looked terrible! In the shop there were real nice glasses and I took a blue one. Blue like the sky and because I'm blonde it looks pretty good. Everybody liked my glasses and said that I look much older, more intelligent ;o) and the color is cute, too. But there's a girl in my class and she is also near sighted, just like me. She told me that she has to wear glasses, but she hates them. She thinks near sightedness is a big handicap and she lamented over being handicapped and stuff. Do you think that wearing glasses is a big handicap? She means "handicap" like not being able to see, to hear and to walk! Extreme, isn't it? I really like my glasses and listen. Wearing glasses doesn't mean to be ugly! There are many nice glasses and I know people that wear glasses just for fun! Think about it and don't be ashamed of your glasses!

yea. i got my glasses two years ago and i did not like them at first then i got so use to them that when i didnt have them on i thought i was sooo ugly everyone says i look better and smarter with them!

Good for you for finding glasses that suit you........it seems that every time i get a new pair of glassses, they look a little better, but i still prefer my contacts. i have pretty bad eyesight, so it can be pretty annoying when you wake up in the morning and can't see a thing, but once the contacts are in, i don't even think about it. i guess it depends on how bad her eyes are......i mean, if she's legally blind and can't see even with glasses, then i can understand it, but otherwise it's just ridiculous!

well as long as yu choose a frame that suits yu glasses are ,make yu look smart and sophisticated. tight now im sticking to contacts most of the time when i'm out. i like to wear my glasses after having wore my contacts for some time cuz ppl notice them then. i mean like once a week or smthg. oh and about the handicap thing gimme a break ppl got over glasses being medication a long time ago

i wear contacts, but i wear my glasses sometimes too. nobody makes of me or thinks they are ugly they are just like . ur right some ppl do get glasses just for looks!
