My father finally took me to my first orthodontist appointment a few months ago. First of all this guy was a little weird and gave me a weird vibe but anywho. They had me fill in this really funny personal info sheet when I first got there. One question stuck out in my mind. Does your jaw pop when you move it(chew, etc.)? Anyways, I said sometimes, but later when he told me to bite down I noticed it. I know I have a major overbite(I can stick the tip of my finger in) and he told me this was because my jaw is out of alignment. Now I notice the popping whenever I eat. I guess it is one of those things you don't realize till you are asked about it. I just want to know if people that had the similar problem eventually had to get the last chance, Jaw Surgery. Thanks!

i had that popping jaw thing when i was younger...but mine was different i couldn't even open my mouth that much cause it use to hurt and if i opened it all the way it use to pop i wasn't able to even eat a hamburger.So my mom took me with this man he was like an "at home kinda dr" i don't think he was even a doctor but anyway he massaged my jaw then he popped it and it was fixed! now i can eat all i want

same with me my top jaw goes over my bottom jaw and i pop sometimes its a real pain in the neck. im just glad to know im not the only one.
