I'm so happy about this surgery

I can't wait until my jaw surgery. I've had braces for 3 years and I'm having this surgery with them on. I'm getting it done later this summer. Four months after the surgery I finally get them off! Gosh, I've waited so long get my braces off that I don't even care that I'm getting this operation. My surgeon says my mouth is going to be wired shut for about 2 weeks and that's the only part I have a problem with. Have any of you out there had your mouths wired shut? And have any of you out there had this specific type of surgery? If any of you have, could you tell me what to expect? I'd really appreciate any bit of advice. Anyway, I just wanted to share my story with you all on this site. Thank you for reading.

Hey i'm getting the exact same thing done. I have an underbite and after months of waiting I finally have a date! the 27th of this month it's been canceled 4 times already in the last two months!
